Fritsch, Johannes – “Feedback Studio Koln Volume 10″ – [Cybele Records]

The Feedback Studio was founded in Cologne in 1970 as a private studio for electronic music. These pieces by Johannes Fritsch are very early experimental electronic, at the same time contemporary classical recordings. Track 1 is a duet – a viola and a recording of a viola. Track 2 uses notes related numerically to the words of a poem by Bauderlaire. Track 4 uses a complex system of instruments, frequency filters, contacts mics and more. Great stuff, cutting edge and visionary, but also quite listenable.
